About Me....
I was a late bloomer when it came to endurance sports. I didn't participate in sports much in high school and didn’t find my way into the endurance sports world until I was in my early 30’s and was fortunate to do so.

Prior to my foray into endurance sports I led a very unhealthy lifestyle. I was a heavy smoker and drank daily. Magically, I woke up one morning in January of 2006 and decided it was time for a change. At first, I found myself at the gym lifting weights but quickly realized that it wasn’t for me, so I decided to give running a try. A year later, I ran my first marathon and never looked back.

After a few years of running marathons, I felt like a needed a new challenge and in the summer of 2010, attempted my first Olympic distance triathlon. It did not go all that well but I was able to push my way across the finish line and once I did, I was hooked.

The thing that I enjoy most about triathlon is the amazing community of athletes, coaches and other supporters that make this sport so great. I don't think I would be where I am today without all that support. I look forward to sharing my knowledge, triumphs and mistakes to help others that are new to the sport and guide them on their triathlon journey.
